The Battle for Thargrim's Headwall

I took part in Grezko's event on Thursday gone. It was a Dwarf vs. Orc & Gobbo only battle in Black Crag. It was a hoot, despite loads of elves turning up. Screenshot here is us Dawi lined up ready to take on the stinkin' greenskins.

I miss this sort of thing from the game. For me this event brought Warhammer to WAR, if you know what I mean.

  1. On Drakenwald there is a Dwarf vs. Greenskin Event once in a month since Carroburg closed, as it has been there before.

I think yesterday's attendance was about 100 people showing ..and beating up ;)

Such events, especially if they are advertised for like the Drakenwald's event, have the problem of griefers as I heard that yesterday some high ranked groups intercepted some folks who wanted to get to the event.. It had a reason why the RP-servers were the once who closed first :/

  2. I didn't turn up til later and apparently missed the main fun. That screenshot looks awesome.

Grezko had a blast apparently, so it was a good night all round.

We should look to create these sorts of events more frequently. I guess WHA would be the best place to advertise. Brings a bit more of a community feel to proceedings :)

  3. While we at Kill Frenzy have some events from time to time they don't usually extend the boundaries of whatever alliance we find ourselves in. I'm sure you're all familiar with the vids there be about them, as Bootae is always proudly flaunting them.

Player-created events (or in this case Guild created) are one of the main reasons why I went back to WAR. It's a case of us making due when dev-provided events are so few and far between.

Glad to see you back Aeo. I even posted a screenie of you standing over my Magus' corpse today. Don't be a stranger now!
